Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) unlikely to play in preseason
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is not expected to play in the team’s preseason matches.
Fantasy Impact
The Jets’ first preseason game is on Aug. 10, and Rodgers, who is recovering from his Achilles tear, will likely not compete. This is not unexpected as the 40-year-old is preserving his body for the regular season. His ADP is QB20, according to FantasyPros’ data.

Roman Wilson (ankle) is expected to make his return to the field before Week 1.

Wilson got carted off of the practice field on Tuesday after suffering a lower-body injury, and he is now being diagnosed with an ankle sprain that will force him to miss some time. It’s not a serious issue, however, and he’s expected to be back before the start of the season. The rookie’s fantasy value will take a hit because of the missed practice and preseason experience, so fantasy managers shouldn’t expect him to produce much early on in the season.
