Rico Dowdle reportedly looked like the “best” Cowboys running back on day one in pads on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
It is still very early, but it’s noteworthy for now. This is likely to be a committee of some form during the season with the return of Ezekiel Elliott. It remains a situation to monitor throughout training camp.

DJ Chark Jr. trending towards starting
DJ Chark Jr. is trending towards starting for the Los Angeles Chargers.
Fantasy Impact
The Chargers signed Chark to a small deal earlier this offseason, but he seems to be off to a good start with his new team. He has emerged as one of the primary targets with the first team at camp, and it looks like he’s trending towards being a starting WR for the team. If that’s the case, we could see him find some solid streaming value on a week-to-week basis.

Quentin Johnston trending towards being backup
Quentin Johnston is trending towards not being a starter for the Los Angeles Chargers.
Fantasy Impact
HC Jim Harbaugh has praised Johnston at various points this offseason, but it doesn’t look like he is going to win a starting spot on the team this year. It’s possible that he will be part of a rotation, but it’s being reported that he is not part of the primary wide receiver trio for the first-team offense at camp. He’s coming off of a disappointing rookie campaign in 2023, and if he doesn’t impress over the rest of camp or in the preseason, we could see him end up being a non-factor for the Chargers this season.
