2025 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Armand Membou

Armond Membou (OL – Missouri)

6-foot-3 | 314 Pounds

Background

Armond Membou was a three-star recruit who started the last five games of his freshman season at right tackle and continued in that role throughout college. He allowed one sack and three pressures, per Pro Football Focus (PFF), his freshman season. Gave up two sacks and 12 pressures in 2023. Improved this past year, allowing zero sacks and nine pressures.

Positives

Membou started for two-and-a-half years in the SEC and has a favorable development trajectory. Built like a bowling ball, with natural leverage and a thick build throughout his body. Snap-to-snap consistency is impressive. Missouri’s offense has a lot of zone calls in the running game. Looks smooth and polished in his technique, with attention to detail.

Lateral quickness is good when executing outside zone plays and stretches. Places his hands well and shows active feet to generate movement in the run game; can make defenders look like blocking sleds when he lines them up just right. Doesn’t need to sell out to reach and engage defenders at the second level, allowing him to maintain his technique and avoid lunging. Looks calm and alert in pass protection, with good awareness to sort out games.

Has a smooth, controlled kick slide, keeping his back straight and his hands up. Active and accurate with his punch to control the interaction; shows the ability to jolt opponents on contact. Shows an easy anchor against power and is at his best when working against bull-rushers.

Negatives

Listed as 6-foot-3, so plenty of teams are going to consider Membou more of a guard conversion candidate, where he lacks in-game experience. Length measurements will be interesting. Can find it difficult to position himself against speed rushers on the outside without a chip.

Some may consider his demeanor more tough and workmanlike than nasty. Would like to see him fire out a little bit more consistently low in the run game to maximize his natural strength; some tendencies to get upright out of his stance.

Summary

A thick, stocky right tackle who’s probably going to be viewed as more of a guard at the next level, but who looks like a pretty safe bet to develop into an early starter there due to his thick build, polished footwork, consistent technique, natural power and overall awareness.

Membou’s lack of college experience on the inside might give him a little bit of a learning curve at first, but he should be able to play in either sort of scheme and create movement in the run game for a long time.
