Cardinals right-hander Sonny Gray is expected to have a normal spring training after being shut down due to forearm tendinitis last September.

Gray still managed 28 starts while working to a solid 3.84 ERA in 2024 and his 3.12 FIP and 2.82 xFIP suggest he was notably better than his surface ERA suggests. He continues to be a reliable run preventer while his uptick in strikeouts from a 24.3% K% in 2023 to a 30.3% clip in 2024 is a positive sign moving forward.

Bo Bichette, Blue Jays have not had extension talks
Bo Bichette said the Blue Jays have not approached him about a contract extension.

Bichette said that he and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. still want to play together forever. “Vladdy is one of my best friends,” Bichette said. “We’ve had tons of conversations…” This will remain a situation to monitor as Guerrero and Bichette both seek new contracts.
