The Guardians and free agent pitcher John Means are reportedly in “advanced talks” on a deal.

It had been reported earlier in the offseason that the Orioles had interest in bringing back Means, but his market has overall been quiet as of late. He has been limited to just 10 combined starts across the past three seasons.

Max Scherzer said Sunday he’s had a “great offseason” and is right where he wants to be in his ramp-up.
