Florida’s PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens is the next destination for the PGA Tour at the 2025 Cognizant Classic. Defending champion Austin Eckroat was on fire in 2024, winning by three strokes at 17-under-par. PGA National is infamous for its Bear Trap stretch on holes 15-17, featuring two par 3s and a par 4 with intimidating water hazards in play.
My Mexico Open at VidantaWorld DFS Primer had some good results, with a T10, T17, and T34 finish between three of four golfers selected. The lone miss came on Justin Lower, who missed the cut with 70-70. Alex Smalley carded a T10 finish at 14-under-par and could’ve made a run at a T5 finish if not for a final round 72. Greyson Sigg held good value at $9.7K on FanDuel with a T17 finish, while 2024 runner-up, Sami Valimaki, did enough to post a T34 finish at 9-under-par.
Let’s try to build off of last week’s momentum with another strong showing at the Cognizant Classic. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more DFS PGA and weekly golf analysis.

Course Overview
PGA National (The Champion Course) is a par 71 that runs 7,167 yards. Designed by Tom Fazio and Jack Nicklaus, Bermudagrass is the primary surface golfers will compete on this week. Rough stands 2.25 inches in length, while the greens are 7,000 square feet on average, inviting aggressive approach shots on a ton of par 4 holes.
The 10th hole was converted into a par 5 last season, meaning there are four par 3s and three par 5s at PGA National. Water hazards are in play on 15 of 18 holes, with the most nerve-wracking sequence near the end with the Bear Trap. Most of the par 4s run south of 450 yards but require accuracy off-the-tee and on approach.
Par 3s run anywhere from 217 yards, up t0 226 yards, while the shortest are in the Bear Trap, measuring 179 and 175 respectively. The Stimpmeter suggests Bermudagrass greens will run up to 12 feet.
Recommended Plays: DraftKings
DraftKings maximum salary is set at $50,000
Lucas Glover: $7,800
Lucas Glover enters this event ranked 34th in total strokes gained, including top-50 putting. He’s fourth in driving accuracy and 10th in hole proximity. Glover is also 19th in scrambling and 22nd with approach shots from 200 yards or further.
His 69.5 scoring average per round is 39th on the PGA Tour. At this price, Glover is worth inserting into lineups at $7.8K.
Nicolai Hojgaard: $7,400
It’s incredible to find Nicolai Hojgaard at under $7,500 on DraftKings. The Norwegian is first on the PGA Tour at finding greens in regulation (77.08 percent), sixth in driving distance, third SG: Approach, and 14th for putting average.
Hojgaard is also first in scoring average (68.13) per round and 33rd on par 4 holes. He’s a must-add at $7.4K.

FanDuel maximum salary is set at $60,000
Adam Schenk: $8,400
We haven’t seen Adam Schenk compete since the WM Phoenix Open earlier this month. He’s a sneaky play in FanDuel lineups at $8.4K. Schenk has a T25 finish or better in three of four events played in 2025.
He ranks 18th total strokes gained, including 20th off-the-tee, 22nd putting, and 11th in driving distance. 19th scrambling and 12th in putts per round is icing on the cake, so don’t miss out on Schenk at PGA National this week.
Greyson Sigg: $8,300
I have to run it back with Greyson Sigg after his strong showing at VidantaWorld. Yes, these are two totally different courses but Sigg does rank top-50 for SG: Approach and 19th scrambling.
The Georgia native is 33rd on par 4 scoring and is fairly accurate with his driver, which bodes well for a course like PGA National. While the metrics may not be eye-popping, he’s managed T9-T32-T17 in three consecutive events played.
Let’s back Sigg once more at $8.3K on FanDuel ahead of Round 1 at the Cognizant Classic.
