3 Dynasty Rookie Sleepers (2025 Fantasy Football)

3 Dynasty Rookie Sleepers (2025 Fantasy Football)

We have plenty to be excited about with this 2025 dynasty rookie class following the NFL Scouting Combine. Elite Relative Athletic Scores (RAS) were pouring in left and right, especially from the running back group, which should come as no surprise.

While prospects like Bhayshul Tuten and Jaylin Noel have seen their NFL and dynasty stock jump following a big week in Indianapolis, several other names have slipped through the cracks who I believe will be excellent values late in our rookie drafts this offseason. The cost of entry for the incoming rookies I’m about to cover will be minimal, so if you swing and miss, you’re not in any worse position than before.

Today, I’ll cover my top three dynasty rookie sleepers based on my FantasyPros rankings versus expert consensus rankings (ECR). For the ECR ranks, I’m just using the experts who have updated their rookie ranks in March. I’ll be looking at Superflex rankings specifically, as this is the most common dynasty format. I believe the ceiling is there for these three prospects to make a real dynasty impact and substantially increase our roster value. Without further ado, let’s dive in.

2025 NFL Draft Guide: Mock Drafts, Scouting Reports & More

Dynasty Rookie Sleepers

Kyle Williams (WR – Washington State)

  • My Rank: WR16 | 41st Overall
  • ECR: WR25 | 68th Overall

The versatile speedster out of Washington State is still flying under the radar in dynasty circles and is the most glaring rookie value in my eyes. From a film perspective, Kyle Williams has several traits that should translate to the NFL level. He has elite breakaway speed, making him a vertical threat, and is a twitchy, nuanced route runner.

Analytically, Williams had himself a great 2024 season. There were exactly 200 FBS wide receivers with 50+ targets in 2024 (regular season + post-season). Here’s where Williams ranked amongst that group:

  • 22nd in Pro Football Focus (PFF) Receiving Grade (82.1)
  • 8th in YAC/REC (8.4)
  • 23rd in YPRR (2.72)
  • 14th in Missed Tackles Forced (21)

* YAC/REC = yards after catch per reception

*YPRR – yards per route run

Williams finished his fifth and final season with 101 targets, 70 receptions, 1,196 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. At the combine, he posted a great 40-time of 4.42 seconds, along with solid 10-yard and 20-yard splits. Being more of a field-stretcher, Williams does project to be a better real-life talent than fantasy. However, based on his 68th overall ECR ranking, he could likely be won with a small FAAB waiver wire bid in your dynasty leagues post-rookie draft. He’ll be virtually free and has the skill set to hit our starting lineups. Keep tabs on this young man.

Raheim Sanders (RB – South Carolina)

  • My Rank: RB14 | 35th Overall
  • ECR: RB17 | 48th Overall

Raheim “Rocket” Sanders helped his NFL Draft stock as much as any running back at the combine this year, posting a RAS of 9.82. He surprised many by recording a sub-4.5 40-time along with great 10- and 20-yard split times. He also had the fastest recorded speed of any running back at the combine, hitting 23.55 miles per hour (MPH).

Sanders broke out early as a sophomore for Arkansas, rushing for over 1,400 yards and 10 touchdowns. Following his monster season, Sanders was considered the RB1 in many devy circles. Unfortunately, an injury-riddled junior campaign sunk his devy and NFL stock, averaging just 3.4 yards per attempt (YPA) on the season. He slowly built that draft stock back up in 2024, finishing with just under 1,200 scrimmage yards and 12 total touchdowns.

Sanders wasn’t amazing from an efficiency standpoint on the ground this year, but he excelled as a pass-catcher, ranking 16th in the FBS in YPRR. He had a respectable target rate as well, finishing at 14.6% (30 targets on 206 routes run).

Sanders’ main problem was that during his junior season he put on a bunch of weight and lost some lateral agility and explosiveness. All of that appears to be behind him now, as Sanders came into the combine at a slim 217 pounds (he had reportedly been around 240 this time last year). He appears to be in great condition and has the size and strength to move up an NFL depth chart quickly.

Jaydon Blue (RB – Texas)

  • My Rank: RB20 | 48th Overall
  • ECR: RB23 | 64th Overall

Jaydon Blue was never a workhorse in college, constantly competing against a loaded backfield at Texas. As a true freshman in 2022, Blue was buried on the depth chart behind Bijan Robinson, Roschon Johnson and Jonathon Brooks, who are now playing in the NFL. In 2023, Brooks was the lead back, with five-star freshman CJ Baxter jumping Blue on the depth chart as the No. 2 RB. This season, Baxter suffered a season-ending knee injury, which opened things up for Blue, but even so, he found himself in a timeshare with Quintrevion Wisner.

He measured in at just 5-foot-9 and 196 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine. Blue has small hands, measuring 8.25 inches. So, what is there to like about Blue as a prospect? Well, he is an explosive athlete and maybe the best receiver and route runner in this running back class. Blue finished the 2024 campaign with 58 targets, ranking seventh in the country for his position. He had a target rate of 25.3% this past season, which is up there with some of the top receivers in this class.

Blue posted 1.59 YPRR this year and had a career 1.58 YPRR, both excellent marks. I’m currently valuing Blue as a borderline late fourth-round pick, which is 16 spots higher than ECR. If Blue gets decent draft capital (which is entirely possible, given his athletic, pass-catching profile), he could climb up to the late third round.

That should wrap things up for my favorite dynasty rookie sleepers. Don’t write off your third- and fourth-round rookie picks as worthless — you never know when you could land the Puka Nacua or Bucky Irving of the class. If you have any questions about this rookie class you’d like to discuss, I can be reached on X at @jim_DFF. I’d love to hear from you.
