5 Late-Round Fantasy Football Draft Targets (2025)

We got the ultimate tease of the football season with the Hall of Fame game last week. Well, wouldn’t you know it, in just a few days, we will have more than just a tease, we will get a plate full of appetizers as the NFL preseason officially starts. Now is the time to start focusing on your fantasy football team in pursuit of fantasy football championship glory. What better way to prepare than to run a FREE fantasy football mock draft! Here are a few of my favorite picks from my latest fantasy football mock draft.

Fantasy Football Draft Picks to Target

11.07: Mark Andrews (TE – BAL)

Taking Mark Andrews at this pick is strictly based on value. Andrews’ current average draft position (ADP) is 87, and we nabbed him with the 139th overall pick.

Andrews can be a top-five fantasy tight end once again. He finished last year as the TE7 despite getting off to a slow start. All the hype is on Isaiah Likely, and for good reason, but let’s not forget about Andrews just yet. Buy the dip in all formats.

12.06: Dak Prescott (QB – DAL)

I don’t usually take two quarterbacks, but I had the opportunity to stack CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott, which I couldn’t pass up. At this point in the draft, you are taking shots on bench players that you will most likely cut within the first few weeks anyway.

13.07: Broncos D/ST

We are just throwing darts this late. I wanted to get ahead of the run of defenses, and the opportunity to take the best defense in the NFL presented itself.

14.06: Jake Bates (K – DET)

When taking a kicker, I am looking for someone on an offense that can move the ball and play the majority of their games inside a dome. Jake Bates fits both filters.

15.07: DJ Giddens (RB – IND)

DJ Giddens is a late-round dart throw on what could be a handcuff for Jonathan Taylor. The former KSU running back will battle Khalil Herbert for backup duties this preseason.
