Saturday afternoon in Knoxville brings us a matchup that feels bigger than anyone expected just a few weeks ago. Both Georgia and Tennessee are breaking in new quarterbacks, yet each team has shown flashes that make this clash one of the most intriguing of the young season. With one side leaning on a suffocating defense and the other thriving on explosive offense, this rivalry showdown sets the stage for a true SEC test where every possession could matter. Let’s look into what you need to know for devy fantasy football this week.

Game of The Week
(Odds Courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
#6 Georgia @ #15 Tennessee (+3.5) | 49.5 | Saturday, ABC, 3:30 EST
Before the start of the season, I would not have thought this game would be as big as it is now. Tennessee finding a new quarterback, running back, and replacing key receivers has not set this offense back, as they’ve put up 72 and 45 points this season. Joey Aguilar has been better than expected and has this offense in a groove coming into a matchup against one of the best defenses in the nation. On the other side, Georgia is also breaking in a new QB this season in Gunner Stockton. He hasn’t put up eye-popping numbers, but has played very solidly and has not turned the ball over.
The Georgia offense struggled last week, managing only 28 points against FCS Austin Peay at home. This will be a matchup of strength vs. strength, with Georgia’s defense vs. Tennessee’s offense. This rivalry has not seen a one-score game since 2016. I believe that changes this season with Georgia pulling out a close, low-scoring, grind-it-out SEC battle. The spread opened this week at 6.5 for Georgia and has already been bet down to 3.5.
My Picks:
Devy Spotlight
Dante Moore (QB – Oregon) | 2026
Moore has been impressive and highly efficient through his first two starts for the Oregon Ducks. He has a completion percentage of 77.7% to go along with six passing touchdowns and close to 500 yards. He gets his first Big Ten start this week on the road at Northwestern. Moore came into college as a five-star recruit with high expectations, but has struggled up until this point and is now showing why he was highly touted. He finds himself in the top five odds for the Heisman Trophy after his hot start to the season.
Heisman Trophy Race
The top five Heisman favorites after Week 2:
- Garrett Nussmeier (QB – LSU) | +900
- Carson Beck (QB – Miami) | +1000
- John Mateer (QB – Oklahoma) | +1000
- Dante Moore (QB – Oregon) | +1100
- Arch Manning (QB – Texas) | +1300
Garrett Nussmeier and Carson Beck remain the top two favorites after Week 2. They are followed by two newcomers to the top five and a returning Arch Manning. John Mateer has been nothing short of impressive through three games in a big home win over the Michigan Wolverines last week, while putting up 344 yards and three touchdowns. Dante Moore makes his debut in the top five heading into his first Big Ten start on the road at Northwestern. Arch Manning jumps back into the conversation after knocking off the dust from the disappointing performance against Ohio State with over 300 yards and five touchdowns.
