Kraft suffered a knee injury during practice on Thursday, but the team doesn’t seem to think it is a very serious issue. Still, he officially carries a questionable tag heading into the weekend, so fantasy managers should have a good backup option in place if he is ruled out prior to game time.

Tucker Kraft (knee) will not practice today after suffering what was originally reported as a minor injury, then just a “scare”. Now it seems the injury is a little more severe than thought. HC Matt LeFluer said the team didn’t see a need to put him on IR, but that he is uncertain for Sunday.

A collective sigh of relief from fantasy managers can be heard after Schefter’s report. Kraft is a top target for the Packers offense and a top-tier tight end in fantasy in 2025, and thankfullly it looks like we’ve avoided an injury that would have prevented that.

Fantasy Impact

Kraft was not able to finish practice on Thursday after suffering a knee injury of some kind. The severity of it has yet to be determined, but the team doesn’t expect it to be anything that threatens the rest of the season for him. He has been killing it so far this season, so fantasy managers should pay very close attention to updates about his status to get an idea of how much time this will force him to miss.

What the Experts Are Saying

Everyone’s new favorite tight end takes on the Cleveland Browns this Sunday. The Browns, although terrible, have been decent on defense. Despite allowing 41 points to the Ravens last week, their defensive line has caused troubles. Across two weeks the Browns are averaging 6.7 fantasy points to the position. However, it is a very small sample size. I expect that this may be more of a defensive duel between these two teams this week. Thankfully, Kraft has shown the after catch ability to turn any catch into a big play. So far we have seen Kraft have 2 receptions for 16 yards and a score, and six receptions for 124 yards and a score. I lean this week may be closer to Week 1’s production, but he is still a must start at the position.
