Chicago started strong under new head coach Ben Johnson, the Lions’ former offensive coordinator, but faded away as the game went on against the Minnesota Vikings. Caleb Williams has plenty of elusiveness and a strong arm to exploit Detroit’s defense, plus, he’s available at a fairly affordable salary.
Stack Williams with WR2 Rome Odunze, who he targeted nine times in Week 1. Odunze scored a touchdown and caught six passes for 37 yards, finishing with 15.7 fantasy points. He’s a cheaper option than D.J. Moore. D’Andre Swift was also a heavy target for Williams out of the backfield, logging three receptions for 12 yards on five targets, along with 17 carries.
Detroit’s players are much more expensive than the Bears in this Week 2 division rivalry game. David Montgomery is second fiddle to Jahmyr Gibbs but he still finished with 15 touches in Week 1, including 4-18 on four targets from Jared Goff. He’s a cheap commodity in comparison to his teammate.
Rookie wideout Isaac TeSlaa was Detroit’s lone touchdown scorer in Week 1. He’s very cheap, likely due to drawing one target, which he converted into a touchdown. This should resonate with Goff and keep TeSlaa involved in a much more favorable matchup against the Bears’ pass defense.

Seattle and Pittsburgh played much different games in Week 1, so it’ll be interesting to see how this matchup unfolds in Week 2 at Acrisure Stadium. It’s a revenge game for Steelers wideout DK Metcalf, however, he’s too expensive to roster.
I’m willing to pay a premium for Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who dominated the Seahawks’ target share with 13 total targets against San Francisco during his first game with Sam Darnold. Pair the second-year wideout with Kenneth Walker III, who got 14 touches in Week 1, despite finishing with a paltry 5.4 fantasy points.Pittsburgh’s run defense looked porous against the Jets, so Walker should be able to find the end zone to return value at a discounted rate.
Aaron Rodgers is an expensive commodity following his four-touchdown outing against the Jets last week. He’s worth paying for to pair with Calvin Austin and Jonnu Smith. Austin turned six targets into four receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown, leaning on his breakaway speed to outperform his projections.
Smith was a big trade piece this offseason and also scored a touchdown in the red zone. He finished Week 1 with five receptions on six targets, outpacing Pat Freiermuth. Rodgers will likely continue to look to his vertical deep threat and reliable tight end against a stout Seahawks defense.

An AFC East matchup sends the Buffalo Bills to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Jets. Both quarterbacks in this game are expected to be highly productive, which is why their salaries are so expensive. It isn’t deterring me from recommending both Josh Allen and Justin Fields.
Fields scored two rushing touchdowns on 15 carries in Week 1 against Pittsburgh. He also went 16-22 for 218 yards and a touchdown. His college teammate, Garrett Wilson, feasted on nine targets, turning them into seven receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown. It’s an ideal stack to construct, even at a premium rate.
Josh Allen’s case for a second straight MVP was made during the Bills’ comeback win against Baltimore in Week 1. Allen scored twice as a ball carrier and threw for over 390 yards and two more touchdowns. Stack the defending MVP with Keon Coleman and Dalton Kincaid, who are both available at a discount.
Coleman finished with 11 targets, turning those into eight receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown. Kincaid also scored, hauling in all four targets for 48 yards to wind up with 14.8 fantasy points.
Neither of these defenses looked good in Week 1, so these stacks could potentially explode in Week 2.
