Fantasy Football Outlook: Will Kyler Murray Play Week 6?

Kyler Murray (foot) questionable to play Sunday
Kyler Murray (foot) is questionable to play in Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Impact

Murray suffered a foot injury in Week 5 and will be questionable to play in Week 6 because of it. He missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but he was able to return as a limited participant on Friday, so it’s unclear if he’s trending in one direction or the other. Several offensive players on Arizona’s offense will see a hit to their fantasy value if the team has to roll with Jacoby Brissett as their starting quarterback against Indianapolis.

What the Experts Are Saying

Kyler Murray opened this week with a DNP (foot). He didn’t practice this week until logging a limited session on Friday. He has been listed as questionable this week. Murray worked with the second team at practice on Friday. I think it’s still possible that he misses this week’s game. Murray is the QB23 in fantasy points per game. Among 40 qualifying passers, he ranks 33rd in yards per attempt, 18th in catchable target rate, 34th in hero throw rate, and 30th in fantasy points per dropback. He has still averaged 5.8 rushing attempts and 34.6 yards on the ground. Even if Murray makes the start, it’s tough to consider him as anything more than a QB2. Indy has allowed the eighth-lowest passer rating, the tenth-lowest CPOE, and the 12th-fewest yards per attempt.
