Fantasy Football Devy Spotlight & College Football Picks (2025)

Oregon’s playoff chase is on the line as the Ducks welcome USC to Autzen Stadium for a marquee Saturday showdown between two of the Big Ten’s most explosive teams. Michigan’s Jordan Marshall has answered the call with starting running back Justice Haynes going down. The Heisman Trophy race is coming down to its final weeks and is topped by two Big Ten quarterbacks.

Game of the Week

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

#15 USC @ #7 Oregon (-9.5) | 59.5 | Saturday at 3:30 ET on CBS

A former PAC-12 rivalry takes center stage in Eugene on Saturday afternoon as the USC Trojans take on the Oregon Ducks. Oregon still has playoff hopes, sitting at 8-1, while USC is in a must-win game to keep its hopes alive at 8-2. Both teams have explosive offenses ranking in the top 10 in scoring. Jayden Maiava and USC’s 10th-ranked passing attack will face the nation’s top-ranked pass defense. Dante Moore and the Oregon passing offense have cooled off in recent weeks, and they are leaning more on their third-ranked rushing attack.

USC does have the offensive playmakers to keep up with Oregon’s high-octane offense. Still, their defense is the weak link, ranking outside of the top 25 in all categories except red-zone efficiency. Oregon does list wide receivers Gary Bryant (missed last week) and standout freshman Dakorien Moore (missed the last two weeks) as questionable. Having both pass-catchers back would give their offense a boost. However, Oregon can still run the ball effectively to walk away with another win without them.

My Picks:

  • Moneyline: Oregon (-360)
  • Spread: USC +9.5 (-105)
  • Total: Under 59.5 (-115)

Devy Spotlight

Jordan Marshall (RB – Michigan) | 2027

Unfortunately, Michigan looks to have lost Justice Haynes for the season, paving the way for Jordan Marshall to remain at the vocal point of Michigan’s rushing attack. In the three full games without Haynes, Marshall is averaging 153 rush yards (133, 185, 142) and two touchdowns (one, three, two) per game, proving he can handle the workload and expectations.

Marshall has shown he can be a bruiser between the tackles with home run ability, who can be deployed in the passing game.

Heisman Trophy Race

The top five Heisman Trophy favorites after Week 12:

  1. Fernando Mendoza (QB – Indiana) | +100
  2. Julian Sayin (QB – Ohio State) | +200
  3. Marcel Reed (QB – Texas A&M)| +550
  4. Diego Pavia (QB – Vandy) | +1500
  5. Gunner Stockton (QB – Georgia) | +2500

Fernando Mendoza led Indiana to their 11th victory in dominating fashion, finishing with 299 yards and four touchdowns. Julian Sayin didn’t have the most impressive stat line in a blowout win over UCLA, only throwing for 184 yards and one touchdown on a 74.2% completion rate.

Marcel Reed had the most impressive victory, leading Texas A&M to their biggest comeback in school history, accounting for 452 total yards and three touchdowns. Diego Pavia had a bye week but moves up one spot. Gunner Stockton and the Georgia Bulldogs dominated the Texas Longhorns at home, with Stockton gaining 258 total yards and tying his season high of five touchdowns.
