Fantasy Football Risers & Fallers: Devy Leagues (Week 14)

Week 14 of the college football season delivered high-stakes matchups, shocking upsets and standout performances from players across the country. In this weekly breakdown, we examine the aftermath of the weekend’s action, spotlighting the biggest devy fantasy football risers and fallers in the college football landscape.

Created by Scott Fish in the 1990s, the devy format is rapidly gaining traction as one of the most exciting formats in fantasy football. Often described as a “dynasty league on steroids,” devy fantasy football allows managers to draft and stash college players well before they declare for the NFL Draft.

The devy format demands deeper research and sharper projections than a traditional dynasty league, but we’re here to help you navigate it every step of the way. Each week, we’ll highlight the most significant value shifts based on NCAA action and what it means moving forward.

When we talk about risers, we’re referring to players whose value has climbed due to strong on-field performance. For fallers, the picture is more complex. Injuries, reduced playing time and other situational factors can all contribute to a drop in perceived value.

Devy Fantasy Football Risers

Bo Jackson (RB – Ohio State)

What began as a running back by committee at Ohio State quickly turned into the Bo Jackson show. The freshman seized the job outright, finishing the regular season with 151 carries for 952 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.

Jackson added 17 receptions for 187 yards and a touchdown through the air, showing he can impact the passing game as well as the ground attack. That ability to handle feature‑back volume, generate explosive plays, and contribute as a receiver points to a skill set that translates well to the NFL.

Caleb Hawkins (RB – North Texas)

Running back Caleb Hawkins has been nothing short of a revelation for North Texas this season, piling up 1,216 yards and 23 touchdowns on the ground while adding 334 yards and three more scores through the air. His 1,550 yards from scrimmage and 26 total touchdowns highlight a freshman campaign that helped propel the Mean Green to an impressive 11-1 regular season record.

In devy circles, Hawkins is quickly emerging as one of the most intriguing backs in the nation. His combination of size and production already suggests early-round potential, and the buzz will only intensify if he explores the transfer portal. With three years of eligibility remaining, Power Four programs would almost certainly line up for a chance to add his skill set, making him a name to watch this offseason.

Bryce Underwood (QB – Michigan)

Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood’s regular season ended with a lopsided 27-9 defeat to rival Ohio State, where he threw for just 63 yards and added an interception. That performance underscored the gap between his recruiting hype and his current development, as the Buckeyes kept the former five-star recruit in the pocket and forced him into quick, ineffective decisions.

The struggles were not limited to The Game. The true freshman, once the nation’s top-rated quarterback recruit, showed flashes with his legs but never fully settled as a passer, finishing the regular season with 2,229 yards, nine touchdowns, six interceptions, and a 61.1% completion rate. For devy managers, his stock has taken a hit, but he remains an intriguing stash thanks to his athletic traits and long-term upside.

Jonah Coleman (RB – Washington)

Jonah Coleman battled a nagging knee injury late in the season, and it showed in his production. Over the final three games, he managed just 30 rushing yards on 18 carries, a sharp dip from his usual output as the lingering issues sapped his burst and kept him from being the same dynamic playmaker down the stretch.

Even with that setback, Coleman’s overall body of work remains impressive. Assuming he sits out the bowl game, he ends his collegiate career with 2,969 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns, proving himself as a consistent playmaker across stops at Arizona and Washington.

NFL evaluators are unlikely to ding him for the late-season dip, as the injury is not expected to affect his long-term outlook. He remains firmly in the mix behind consensus RB1 Jeremiyah Love, positioning himself as one of the more intriguing backs in the next tier of draft prospects.
