The tight end position matters greatly in fantasy football. Tight ends are not as flashy as their route-running counterparts at wide receiver. Most of them do not normally get the same volume of touches as fantasy-relevant running backs. That can sometimes lead to them being overlooked or treated as an afterthought. Do not make that mistake.
The tight end pool is the shallowest of them all in fantasy. Finding production there weekly can be incredibly challenging, especially for those who did not invest in one of the top options during draft season.

One way to find success at the position is by carefully playing the waiver wire week-to-week. The goal of this weekly article is to help fantasy managers do just that by finding low-rostered tight ends in the best situations for that particular week.
Week 15 Fantasy Football Tight End Streamers & Waiver Wire Pickups
The following tight ends are rostered in fewer than 75% of Yahoo! Leagues.
Harold Fannin Jr. (TE – CLE) at CHI | 40% Rostered
The rookie connection between Shedeur Sanders and Harold Fannin Jr. was strong last week. Fannin recorded his first 100-yard game, going for 114 yards on a new personal-best eight receptions. The third-round pick out of Bowling Green also caught his second touchdown pass in as many weeks from Sanders.
SHEDEUR TO FANNIN. WOW

Since Sanders took over as the starting quarterback for the Browns, Fannin has caught 15 out of 22 targets while averaging over 65 yards in three games. Fannin’s volume is highly unlikely to drop off at any point going forward this season, and he is clearly Sanders’ favorite option. The Bears offer a middle-of-the-road matchup for an opposing tight end, but Fannin could well lead the position in targets for the second consecutive week.
Isaiah Likely (TE – BAL) at CIN | 6% Rostered
Many were clearly not sold on Isaiah Likely’s 95-yard performance in Week 13, viewing it more as a fluke. While he didn’t repeat the yardage, the talented tight end did score his first touchdown of the season during a four-catch, 25-yard effort against the Steelers this past Sunday. Likely nearly made it two scores in the game, but a controversial call took the second touchdown off the board.
Had a crazy dream that the refs called this Isaiah Likely touchdown incomplete
Good thing that didn’t happen, right?

Speaking of Week 13, Likely gets another matchup with the Bengals on Sunday. Cincinnati has struggled mightily against opposing tight ends all season long. That continued this past Sunday, as the Bills’ trio of tight ends combined for nearly 140 yards and two touchdowns against the unit. The Bengals have now surrendered 15 touchdowns to opposing tight ends, while no other team in the league has given up more than nine.
Colby Parkinson (TE – LAR) vs. DET | 3% Rostered
This is purely a touchdown-potential play here, as Matthew Stafford keeps throwing them and, lately, Colby Parkinson keeps catching them. The veteran tight end is on the best run of his career, having hit paydirt in four of the last five games. In fact, He finished with three grabs on five targets for 32 yards and a score in the Rams’ win at Arizona on Sunday.

Stafford does not exactly have an easy matchup on his hands against his long-time former team, but the Lions did allow Dallas tight ends to go for 77 yards on seven receptions in Week 14. The Rams’ passing attack has been on fire all season, ranking third in yards per game while Stafford leads the league with 35 touchdown passes.
No player in the league has seen more red-zone targets than Parkinson over the last five weeks. For those in search of a tight end option for the fantasy playoffs, or even just added depth, Parkinson could be your best bet.
