2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Devin Moore
Devin Moore (CB – Florida)
6’3″ – 198 lbs.
Background
Four-star recruit who appeared in the first five games of the 2022 season before sustaining a season-ending shoulder injury which required surgery. Suffered a concussion and missed some time in 2023, with one start over eight appearances, finishing with six tackles, three breakups, and an interception. Got banged up again in 2024, starting six of seven appearances and posting 17 tackles, two breakups, and two interceptions, then managed to stay healthy in 2025, with eleven starts, posting 35 tackles, four breakups, and two picks.
Positives
Very tall, long-limbed cornerback who finally managed to stay healthy in 2025 and enjoyed a strong senior season. Typically lines up on the short side of the field, playing a lot of off/zone coverage. Smart cornerback with impressive patience and a relaxed approach to the position which comes from his sound technique and route recognition skills. Matches releases well at the line from press coverage. Can use his length to pin receivers to the boundaries against outside releases. Long-strider who covers a lot of ground when working to depth, either by bailing out of press looks or in traditional zone coverage. Maintains good sight lines, processes route combinations quickly from zone coverage, and can break off of his man to drive on another receiver. There’s not much wasted motion when planting and driving on a spot. Plays off of blocks well, using his length to lock out opponents, with good contact balance and awareness to locate. Physical, reliable tackler with a wide radius and a bit of pop on contact. Was only flagged twice over the course of his career.
Negatives
Missed significant time over the first three seasons of his career, so durability will be a major concern, and pre-draft medicals will be very important to his stock. Has a relatively thin build and will likely be asked to add additional bulk. A good but not great athlete; wins because of his size, length, and processing, rather than elite speed, quickness, or fluidity, and might struggle to stick with smaller, quicker receivers in man coverage. Lacks elite burst to get back in-phase quickly, and can be susceptible to some timing-based throws.
Summary
As tall and long a corner as you’re likely to see, he came to school as a highly-regarded recruit but wasn’t able to stay on the field until this past season, where he showed very good technique and recognition skills. If he can stay on the field, has starting-caliber traits, although he may struggle to match up in man coverage against some quicker, faster receivers. A player whose draft stock will be determined by doctors rather than scouts, so there’s a wide range of outcomes in play here. Could also get some consideration as a safety conversion.
Projection: Round 3-4
