The Genesis Invitational marks the next Signature Event on the PGA Tour this week. Its return to Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades of Southern California makes 2024 winner, Hideki Matsuyama, a popular golfer in PGA DFS contests and outright betting markets this week.
Hosted by Tiger Woods, The Genesis Invitational, unlike Pebble Beach last week, will feature a cut line after the first two rounds are completed. All four rounds will be played on the same Riviera Country Club course, which has been lengthened to 7,383 yards. Fairways and two-inch rough are comprised of Kikuyugrass, while Poa Annua greens measure 12.5 feet on the Stimpmeter, with large, 7,500-square-foot areas to target.
My PGA DFS Lineup Advice: Top Golfers (2026 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am) didn’t have as much success compared to the WM Phoenix Open. Only one of my six golfers, Shane Lowry, cracked a top 10 finish (T8) in the Monterey Peninsula as a cheap Tier 3 play. Jason Day (T24) and Justin Rose (T37) cracked top 40 finishes, while Ryan Gerard (T45), Viktor Hovland (T58), and Daniel Berger (T75) didn’t do enough to warrant strong fantasy production.
Let’s get back on track with a fresh slate at The Genesis Invitational tournament ahead of Thursday’s opening round. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more picks throughout the 2026 PGA Tour season.

We’re starting with Tommy Fleetwood in Tier 1 at Riviera this week. The 2025 FedExCup winner made a strong 2026 debut with his T4 finish at Pebble Beach.
Fleetwood already ranks second in total strokes gained through one event played. He’s 21st in SG: Approach, 37th at greens in regulation, and leads the PGA Tour in scrambling, putts per round, and one-putt rate. In 2024, Fleetwood carded a T10 finish at Riviera, so let’s pay up to acquire the Englishman in our DFS lineups this week.
Collin Morikawa’s win at Pebble Beach on Sunday ended a three-year podium drought on the PGA Tour. He’ll be a popular play this week, but he’s still cheaper than other golfers like Russell Henley and Xander Schauffele.
Morikawa’s ball-striking was on another level at Pebble Beach. He also sank a few clutch putts to put himself atop the leaderboard. Other finishes this season have been pedestrian, missing the cut in Hawaii and logging a T54 finish at the WM Phoenix Open.
Morikawa ranks sixth in SG: Approach and 13th for total driving. His tee-to-green accuracy is the strength we’re targeting, while hoping for continued improvement in his short game at Riviera this week. Morikawa logged a T19 finish at this tournament in 2024, so let’s plug him in as our other Tier 1 golfer.

Viktor Hovland came up short for us at Pebble Beach. However, I’m inclined to run it back on the Norwegian at Riviera this week. Hovland managed a T10 finish at the WM Phoenix Open recently, while ranking 11th in SG: Approach and 38th in proximity.
Hovland’s salary is reduced due to his lackluster T58 finish on Sunday. In 2024, he carded a T19 finish at -6-under-par at Riviera, and now, he’ll look to fuse his iron accuracy with improved putting in the Pacific Palisades this week.
Chris Gotterup’s power off the tee is desirable at his current DFS salary. The Rutgers alum already has two PGA Tour wins in 2026 and is capable of going on frequent birdie runs.
Gotterup is making his Riviera debut. It could go either direction. However, he’s one of the best distance hitters off the tee, while also ranking sixth in total strokes gained, fifth in SG: Off-the-Tee, and 33rd in SG: Approach.
His putting average is also inside the top 30, which is why Gotterup is 12th in scoring average and 26th for birdie average this year. Let’s continue to back one of the hottest golfers on the PGA Tour. Note, Gotterup is a bigger discount on DraftKings than FanDuel.

| Maverick McNealy |

$9,600 |
| Min Woo Lee |
$7,600 |

Maverick McNealy profiles well at Riviera. His most recent trip to this venue in 2022 yielded a T7 finish at -12-under-par. In recent events, McNealy has gone T24-10-T13-T29.
The California native ranks 29th in total strokes gained. He’s 42nd in SG: Approach, 30th total driving, and 43rd for putting average. Also, McNealy is top 25 in driving distance, which will help at a fairly lengthy track like Riviera. McNealy’s 24th in birdie average and 25th for scoring average, which is enough to warrant inserting him into DFS lineups as a strong Tier 3 golfer.
Min Woo Lee made a late push at Pebble Beach to climb into a runner-up finish at 21-under-par. The Aussie golfer has one of the most powerful drivers on the PGA Tour, averaging 323 yards per attempt, while also being 36th in driving accuracy.
Lee is 37th at finding greens in regulation and 13th in proximity. The latter is going to help quite a bit at Riviera this week, while Lee’s driver should set him up for short approach shots. With a putting average at 39th, while also sitting top 30 in birdie average and scoring average, there’s little to dislike about Lee, aside from a poor finish in his lone appearance at Riviera in 2022.
Lee is a big value in DFS lineups this week, making him a standout prospect in the Tier 3 salary range.
