Dynasty Rookie Draft Advice: Players Experts Avoid
Each of our experts see the upside in someone like Price, but they are avoiding him at current cost, which is coming in as the No. 3 player off the board in 1QB dynasty rookie drafts (No. 4 in superflex). Our experts would prefer to draft the young trio of wide receivers over Price, including Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon, and Jordyn Tyson.
Each of our experts has Eagles rookie Eli Stowers, not Sadiq, as the TE1 in dynasty rookie drafts. As such, they all view Sadiq as someone to fade at current ADP. They either prefer waiting on Stowers, who is going behind Sadiq in most rookie drafts, or taking a wide receiver like Omar Cooper Jr. or Denzel Boston over Sadiq.
Again, the experts see the appeal of someone like Coleman, especially as a late-round flyer in redraft leagues. However, they prefer to target some combination of wide receivers with their late first and early second round picks of dynasty rookie drafts.
Both Andrew Erickson and Derek Brown are over 10 spots lower than ADP on Johnson, the Chiefs rookie running back. Fitz is a bit lower than ADP as well. Again, Johnson projects a nice early-career role as the potential No. 2 in KC behind Kenneth Walker, who has battled injuries during his career. But in terms of dynasty, Erickson and DBro strongly prefer wide receivers and even a few of the second-tier tight ends over Johnson.
Washington was someone our team loved entering the NFL Draft. They were high on him earlier than most, and they got even more excited after his amazing combine. While they still view he could see decent work in Clint Kubiak’s system that has leveraged two running backs in the past, he was a post-NFL Draft faller for everyone now that he’s behind the all-world talent of Ashton Jeanty in Las Vegas.
