The PGA Tour stays in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex this week for the 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge. Hosted at Colonial Country Club, this par-70 course tips under 7,300 yards, forcing tee-to-green accuracy with small, quick Bentgrass greens running up to 13 feet via Stimpmeter.
Colonial promises to be a more difficult course than the nearby birdie-fest we were treated to at TPC Craig Ranch. Wyndham Clark’s win at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson on Sunday was the result of a final round 60, shooting 11-under-par to jump Si Woo Kim and Scottie Scheffler.
Speaking of Wyndham Clark, I hope you took my PGA DFS Lineup Advice: Top Golfers (2026 CJ Cup Byron Nelson) plays last week. We obviously had prime production from Clark in Tier 2, while Si Woo Kim returned value in Tier 1 with his runner-up finish. These two golfers alone boosted lineups in DFS contests, while each Tier 3 golfer, Mark Hubbard and Sam Ryder, carded T31 finishes. Davis Thompson and Kevin Roy both missed the cut, though, which brought down our overall finishes.
Let’s try to replicate last week’s overall success with another event set to tee off in the Lone Star State. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more DFS picks and insight during the remainder of the PGA Tour season.
PGA DFS: Top Golfers (2026 Charles Schwab Challenge)
DraftKings Salary: $50,000 | FanDuel Salary: $60,000
TIER 1
| Golfer | DK $ | FD $ |
| Rickie Fowler | $9,600 | $11,400 |
| J.J. Spaun | $9,200 | $10,800 |
Rickie Fowler is back in action after his T60 finish at the PGA Championship. Expect the veteran to bounce back at Colonial, where he’s previously carded T6-T37-T16 finishes.
Fowler recorded three straight top 10 finishes before his pedestrian outing at Aronimink. Ranked 18th in total strokes gained, including 20th in SG: Putting, Fowler’s top-30 marks in birdie average, scoring average, and par 4 scoring are enough to prioritize him as our primary Tier 1 play this week.
J.J. Spaun has a win in 2026, although he’s coming off a missed cut at the PGA Championship. It snapped three straight top 25 finishes, but now, Spaun returns to Colonial, where he last turned in a T6 finish in 2025.
Ranks eighth in SG: Approach, 20th in driving accuracy, and second in proximity. Putting needs improvement; otherwise, Spaun is a strong floor player with high-ceiling potential in DFS lineups at Colonial this week.
TIER 2
| Golfer | DK $ | FD $ |
| Keith Mitchell | $8,800 | $10,500 |
| Sungjae Im | $8,300 | $9,900 |
Keith Mitchell is an expensive Tier 2 golfer this week, but he’s been playing well enough to justify this price. A T5 finish at TPC Craig Ranch, including a pair of 64s, gives Mitchell momentum heading into Colonial.
In 2026, Mitchell ranks fifth in SG: Off-the-Tee and 21st at finding greens in regulation. Most importantly, he’s 21st in scoring average and birdie average. Mitchell’s 74.9 FPPG average is worth the price of admission.
Sungjae Im is a cheaper commodity in Tier 2 compared to Mitchell. He’s also playing great golf right now, scoring over 100 FPTS on DraftKings in two of his last three events. This includes a T9 at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, and a T5 at the Truist Championship.
Im’s best club right now is his putter. He’s ranked 11th in putts per round, 17th in one-putt percentage, and 30th in putting average. Also sits 41st on approach shots from 200+ yards.
Im has three T15 finishes or better in six trips to Colonial, including a T9 during his last outing here in 2024. Buy the floor and bank on the ceiling from Im this week.
TIER 3
| Golfer | DK $ | FD $ |
| Tom Hoge | $6,900 | $8,500 |
| Jackson Suber | $6,600 | $7,800 |
We finally saw Tom Hoge get going at TPC Craig Ranch last week. He shot -5-under-par or better in multiple rounds, which was good enough for a T6 finish. He’s going to be a low-floor, high-ceiling prospect in lineups, making Hoge a volatile option.
Hoge has two top 10 finishes this season, although last week’s performance was the first notable production since a T14 at Pebble Beach. He did card a T26 at the PGA Championship, though, while ranking 20th in proximity and 19th in putting average.
Jackson Suber impressed with a solo fourth-place finish at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson on Sunday. The 26-year-old remains a cheap buy this week, although he’s had a pair of top 20 finishes in his last two starts.
Suber ranks 14th in SG: Approach, 15th in finding greens in regulation, and seventh in proximity. He could boost our lineups with another top 20 finish in this low Tier 3 salary during his second start at Colonial.
