6 Fantasy Baseball Risers & Fallers: Week 13 (2026)

6 Fantasy Baseball Risers & Fallers: Week 13 (2026)

Welcome to our weekly fantasy baseball risers and fallers column. In this article, I’ll identify three risers and three fallers based on what transpired over the previous week.

Given that we’re a few months into the season, there are more options to choose from. We now know how managers are deploying their players, with some surprisingly receiving less playing time than initially expected. We also have a few young hitters who are making their presence felt immediately.

Without further ado, let’s find out who this week’s biggest risers and fallers are.

Fantasy Baseball Risers

Bryce Miller (SP – SEA)

It’s time to start considering Bryce Miller as a legitimate ace. His numbers look phenomenal so far, including a 2.70 SIERA, 30.5% strikeout rate, 3.5% walk rate and 13.3% swinging-strike rate. His stuff+ is up six points to 111, while his location+ is up eight points to 111. Not to mention that his four-seamer velocity is up 1.3 miles per hour (MPH) to 96.5 MPH.

I know it’s a small sample, but these are legitimate signs of growth. Miller is a completely new pitcher and needs to be bumped up in rest-of-season fantasy baseball rankings.

Landen Roupp (SP – SFG)

Landen Roupp is one of the most underrated pitchers in baseball, putting up a 3.72 SIERA with a 26.3% strikeout rate and a 10.6% swinging-strike rate.

Getting to pitch at Oracle Park with the ability to go deep into games makes Roupp a dependable option in the middle of your rotation. There’s also the outside chance he gets dealt to a contender at the deadline.

    Braxton Ashcraft (SP – PIT)

Braxton Ashcraft is fresh off a dominant outing against the Mariners, putting up 10 strikeouts with one earned run in six innings.

The underlying metrics look fantastic, including a 3.21 SIERA, 27.3% strikeout rate and a 5.6% walk rate. What looked like an intriguing sleeper at the beginning of the year is now a front-end anchor for your rotation.

    Nolan McLean (SP – NYM)

Nolan McLean has all the talent in the world, but he’s been inconsistent this season. The good news is that, while his ERA is now north of 4.00, positive regression could be on the way, as highlighted by his 3.46 SIERA.

Remember, McLean is still developing as a pitcher. He’s got elite stuff (108 stuff+), so it could only be a matter of time before he gets going. Even though he’s a faller in the ranks, this could be the time to buy low.

    Freddy Peralta (SP – NY)

Freddy Peralta came into Thursday’s action fresh off a 10-run blowup against the Phillies. His current 4.20 SIERA is a career-high by a wide margin.

Peralta is another buy-low candidate, though, as he has a long enough track record to trust he’ll get it going. But I can’t deny that I’m a bit concerned, given his recent performance.

    Shane McClanahan (SP – TBR)

Shane McClanahan looked great early on, exceeding expectations after a long lay-off. This is the case of an overperforming pitcher who has regressed to the mean, as highlighted by a 4.04 SIERA.

McClanahan has given up four runs or more in three of his last four outings. He’s on a bad stretch right now. I think he’ll get back on track, but we need to consider him more of a backend option for your rotation. His 11.9% swinging-strike rate is way lower than career norms (15.6% in 2023). We need to re-adjust expectations going forward.
