The last few weeks were about the fantasy football expert consensus tidying up its own groupings, boundary redraws, quiet drift, value plays recalibrating. This week is different. A franchise running back’s future got resolved, a 1,000-yard receiver is still sitting in free agency with camps days away, and the rankers are starting to respond to news rather than to each other. The tier framework also held steady again (Tiers 1–4 identical, Tiers 6–7 identical, with only a spot or two of drift elsewhere), so tier movement remains a trustworthy signal. Here’s what moved.

Fantasy Football Draft Season Risers & Fallers
Let’s dive into this week’s fantasy football risers and fallers based on expert consensus rankings changes.
Fantasy Football Risers
Alvin Kamara (RB – NO): Up 9 spots to No. 143
The week’s cleanest news-driven riser. After months of trade rumors, retirement speculation, and a genuinely murky contract standoff, Kamara agreed to a restructured deal on July 15 that keeps him in New Orleans for 2026. That resolves the single biggest binary question hanging over his value. The role is unquestionably diminished. The Saints paid Travis Etienne Jr. like a starter, and Kamara turns 31 this month coming off a career-worst 3.6 yards per carry and a knee/ankle injury that cost him the last six games of 2025. But “diminished and certain” drafts better than “unknown,” particularly for a back whose pass-game skills still translate; his 1.54 yards per route run since 2021 ranks eighth among all running backs. Here’s the actionable part: his ECR-vs-ADP jumped from +9 to +18, meaning the rankers moved first and the draft market hasn’t caught up yet. Analysts are already projecting him as one of the week’s biggest ADP risers. If you want him at the current price, that window is measured in days.
Jonathon Brooks (RB – CAR): Up 10 spots to No. 123 and up a tier, from Tier 8 into Tier 7
Our most interesting recurring storyline. Brooks was the lead riser in Week 1, reversed into a faller in Week 2 as the rankers cooled while his ADP climbed, and has now surged back with the biggest tier-crossing move of the week. The underlying case keeps strengthening: he’s roughly 18 months removed from his second ACL surgery, has looked explosive and noticeably bulkier in offseason work, and Carolina has done nothing to block his path. Rico Dowdle left for Pittsburgh and the only depth behind Chuba Hubbard is Trevor Etienne and A.J. Dillon. Head coach Dave Canales also has a documented history of riding a true workhorse. Note the direction of his value gap: it narrowed from -28 to -22, meaning the rankers are converging toward a market that already pushed his cost up more than two rounds. And pair his climb with Chuba Hubbard slipping three spots to No. 80 — the Carolina backfield is starting to resolve, and not in the incumbent’s favor.
Quinshon Judkins (RB – CLE): Up 3 to No. 52
A small move that’s worth a callback. Last week Judkins dipped three spots and we flagged it as noise rather than signal, since the actual reporting was positive, healthy, full participant in OTAs and minicamp, on track for Week 1. This week the consensus moved him back up. Sometimes the boring read is the right one.
Quick Hits
Ladd McConkey (up 3 to No. 39) and Jayden Daniels (up 4 to No. 54) are the most relevant risers near the top, both firming inside their tiers with value gaps ticking positive. Michael Pittman Jr. (No. 93) climbed from Tier 7 into Tier 6, and Jadarian Price (No. 67) crossed from Tier 6 into Tier 5.
Fantasy Football Fallers
Stefon Diggs (WR – FA): Down 14 spots to No. 190
The week’s biggest faller in the draftable range, and the reason is simply the calendar. Diggs remains unsigned with training camps opening within days. The talent case is real — he posted 85 catches for 1,013 yards with New England in 2025, the seventh 1,000-yard season of his career, and both his legal situation and the NFL’s review have been fully resolved. ESPN reported that at least five teams have checked in on the 32-year-old. But “will sign somewhere, eventually, for some role” is not a projectable fantasy asset, and the rankers are pricing that uncertainty. What makes this fascinating is the split with the draft market: his ECR-vs-ADP fell from -29 to -47, now the single largest market-overdrafting gap on the board. Drafters are speculating on a landing spot; the rankers are refusing to. One of them is wrong, and we’ll know soon.
Dalton Kincaid (TE, down 6 to No. 114) and Brian Robinson Jr. (RB, down 7 to No. 158) round out the notable slides, both with value gaps compressing toward neutral.
Fantasy Football Tier Watch
With the framework stable, here’s the honest read on tier movement, including one trap. Luther Burden III will show up in any tracker as falling from Tier 4 to Tier 5 this week. He didn’t move at all. He sat at No. 48 in both updates; the Tier 5 boundary slid from 49 to 48 and absorbed him. That’s a line redraw, not a demotion, and it’s exactly the kind of artifact worth catching before it becomes a talking point.
The genuine tier crossings inside the top 100: Jadarian Price (Tier 6 → 5) and Michael Pittman Jr. (Tier 7 → 6) climbed, while Carnell Tate (Tier 5 → 6, No. 66 to 68) and Makai Lemon (Tier 6 → 7, No. 93 to 96) slipped. Further down, Brooks (Tier 8 → 7) and Tre Tucker (Tier 9 → 8) were the meaningful upward movers.
Fantasy Football Value Watch (ECR vs. ADP)
- Jaylin Noel (WR, +55) now leads the board as the biggest expert-over-market value, edging past Troy Franklin (+50), who held the top spot for the past two weeks.
- Stefon Diggs (-47) is the mirror image and the most extreme disagreement on the board, the clearest bet-on-news-breaking play in the rankings.
