Fantasy Football Risers

A.J. Brown (WR – NE): Up 3 spots to No. 16 overall

The highest-value riser on the board this week. It’s a modest raw move, but it’s a top-10 WR climbing within the elite tier, which is where small gains matter most. The consensus is hardening on Brown as a locked-in, every-week WR1 rather than debating him against the tier below. His ECR-vs-ADP also ticked up (+2 to +5), a quiet signal the expert rankers are slightly ahead of the room on AJB.

Brian Thomas Jr. (WR – JAC): Up 3 to No. 79 overall

Worth flagging because he’s been a name the rankers were cooler on than the market for weeks. That gap is now narrowing (ECR-vs-ADP from -15 to -12) as he climbs — the first sign of the consensus warming rather than fading. One to watch if the trend continues into camp.

Kenneth Gainwell (RB – TB): Up 4 to No. 100 overall

Cracks the top 100 with his value gap flipping positive (-3 to +2). A quiet, steady riser of the kind that’s easy to miss but adds up across a series.

Fantasy Football Fallers

James Conner (RB – ARI): Down 10 spots to No. 177 & Alvin Kamara (RB – NO): Down 5 to No. 152

Both of these aging veterans are falling outside of relevance in most redraft leagues. Some of the early-offseason appeal was an expectation that both could be traded to RB-needy teams. The longer they remain on their current clubs with crowded backfields and younger, more talented options ahead of them on the depth chart the further they are likely to fall in rankings.

Ricky Pearsall (WR – SF): Down 5 to No. 106 overall & Sam Darnold (QB – SEA): Down 5 to No. 148 overall

No news surrounding these moves. It appears experts are preferring younger QBs who offer rushing upside (Tyler Shough and Malik Willis) over the veteran Darnold. Darnold is settling in a spot where he’s likely to be a 1QB streamer or solid but unexciting QB2 in superflex formats.

Pearsall is interesting as he’s still deemed a value to target based on experts ranking him four spots ahead of his current ADP. Still, it seems like the consensus prefers targets like Jordan Addison and Wan’Dale Robinson over Pearsall in the latest edition of our rankings.
