We’re less than 24 hours away from the first tee times at the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open. This par 70 is a links course, situated outside of Edinburgh, Scotland, at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick for the eighth straight season. It’s a co-sanctioned event with the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, with tee times as early as 2 a.m. ET on Thursday morning.
Coastal winds, pot bunkers, undulating fairways, and fescue/poa annua greens measuring over 5,500 square feet on average form the primary defense at The Renaissance Club. It runs just under 7,300 yards, while the rough is only two inches, with minimal water hazards. Seemingly good fairway lies can turn into difficult ones based on how the golf ball catches an undulation. Approach play, particularly proximity, and putting are key metrics for climbing the leaderboard at the Scottish Open.
This field is loaded with talent. DFS salaries are hefty for star golfers like Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Jon Rahm, while there’s a ton of value the further down you go on DraftKings. Chris Gotterup returns to defend his win, while also claiming a come-from-behind victory on Sunday at the John Deere Classic.
My PGA DFS Lineup Advice: Top Golfers (2026 John Deere Classic) had just one high-value play. Ben Griffin’s T21 finish in Tier 1 was a bit underwhelming, while Eric Cole’s up-and-down weekend led to a modest T39 finish. The biggest production came from Jackson Suber’s T6 finish in Tier 3. A missed cut from Aldrich Potgieter and a pair of T71 finishes from Sungjae Im and A.J. Ewart held our lineups back at TPC Deere Run.

PGA DFS: Top Golfers (2026 Genesis Scottish Open)
DraftKings Salary: $50,000

| Matt Fitzpatrick |
$9,900 |
| Wyndham Clark |
$9,200 |
We’re going to roll out Matt Fitzpatrick as our most expensive chalk play in Tier 1 at The Renaissance Club. The Englishman has three wins in 2026, while logging two top 10 finishes in four trips to North Berwick since 2022.
Fitzpatrick has a ton of great metrics to justify paying a premium on him in lineups. This includes second in SG: Approach, 10th in total driving, third for greens in regulation, and 27th in proximity. It’s why he’s fourth on par 4s and in scoring average this year, leading to 4.22 birdies per round (15th).
Wyndham Clark is another golfer playing with a ton of momentum heading into the Scottish Open. Clark has two wins in his last five events, all logging T11 finishes or better during this stretch. That includes his second U.S. Open major title due to his elite putting.
Clark ranks 16th in SG: Approach and 25th in SG: Putting. Also sits 38th in proximity and second for putting average in 2026. Past finishes at Renaissance Club include T16-T25-T10-T11.

| Adam Scott |
$7,800 |
| Patrick Reed |
$7,700 |
Adam Scott has played very well at Renaissance Club since missing the cut during his debut in 2023. The veteran Aussie fell just short of Robert MacIntyre for a solo runner-up finish in 2024, with a T17 finish in 2025.
In 2026, Scott has bounced between strong and weak finishes. He’s a high-risk, high-reward Tier 2 prospect this week, with course history sitting in his favor. Scott ranks sixth in SG: Approach, 27th in total driving, 21st in proximity and 16th for greens in regulation this year.
Patrick Reed stands out to me in this Tier 2 range. While he’s still dealing with a lingering suspension from LIV, we’ve seen two really strong outings in three majors played this season.
Reed did miss the cut at Shinnecock during the U.S. Open, although he’s yielded 67 or more fantasy points at The Masters and PGA Championship. Reed’s short game is his strength, which goes a long way at a course like Renaissance.
TIER 3
Golfer

DK $
|
| Harry Hall |
$7,300 |
| Jordan Smith |
$7,100 |
We’re closing out our lineup builds with a pair of Englishmen at a huge discount in Tier 3. Let’s start with Harry Hall.
Hall is among the best putters on the PGA Tour this season, a carryover from 2025. He’s coming off a T17 finish at Renaissance last year, while ranked 34th in SG: Putting and 54th in scrambling. Hall is 15th for putts per round and 18th in one-putt rate.
Jordan Smith should also fare well on the links. He’s accustomed to playing on this type of course, while posting a top five and four top 20 finishes in 16 events this season.
Smith ranks 19th in SG: Off-the-Tee and 35th in SG: Approach in 2026. Seventh in total driving and 10th for greens in regulation hit (70.22%) have led to top-50 marks in scoring average and par 4 scoring this year.
Smith’s previous showings at Renaissance go T24-T12-MC-T22. He’s been relatively consistent, so if we get a T20 finish from his Tier 3 salary, that’s a strong return on investment to anchor our lineups.
