Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Stash: Week 21 (2026)

Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Stash: Week 21 (2026)

September is quickly approaching, which means MLB rosters will soon expand from 26 to 28 players. Although that is a much smaller expansion than we saw in past years, the two additional roster spots could still create opportunities for several fantasy baseball prospects during the final month of the season.

Fantasy Baseball In-Season Waiver Wire & Trade Advice

Of course, talent is only one part of the equation. Teams must also consider available playing time, arbitration timelines and rookie eligibility before deciding which prospects to promote. However, with playoff races heating up and several clubs searching for an additional spark, we could see more names from this list reach the Majors soon.

We saw Joshua Baez make his historic debut, and he was the only player from last week’s list to see a promotion. I removed River Ryan from the list due to uncertainty about his return. He is still a player worth monitoring, but it’s beginning to look unlikely that he will make a meaningful Major League appearance this year.

Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Stash

Kade Anderson (SP – SEA) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 6

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: August

The dominance continues, and unfortunately, so does the wait. Kade Anderson delivered another outstanding performance in his latest start, throwing 5.2 innings while allowing only two hits and one walk. He also struck out seven. Once again, the left-hander demonstrated the combination of swing-and-miss ability and control that has made him one of baseball’s top pitching prospects.

At this point, we have to be getting close to a promotion, right?

Seattle remains in the playoff race, and Anderson could provide an immediate boost to its pitching staff. Anderson probably isn’t available in most competitive leagues. However, if he somehow remains on your waiver wire, he should be added immediately.

Charlie Condon (1B, OF – COL) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 75

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: August

It wasn’t a good week for Charlie Condon. He recorded only one hit over his last five games. The lone bright spot was his three walks, although that’s still not enough to get excited about. Clearly, Condon is going through a minor slump at the wrong time.

Nevertheless, the talent and potential power are still there. Colorado also continues to give Condon opportunities in the outfield, providing another path to major-league playing time.

Condon’s recent struggles might have caused an impatient fantasy manager to drop him. If he’s available and you need potential power help, he’s still worthy of a stash. One strong week could quickly put him back into the promotion conversation.

Walker Jenkins (OF – MIN) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 11

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: August/September

Walker Jenkins continues to strengthen his case for a late-season promotion. Over his last five games, he went 8-for-19 with one home run, four walks and only three strikeouts.

Minnesota remains in the playoff hunt. If the Twins believe Jenkins can improve their lineup, they may be willing to give him an opportunity during the final month. The organization has already shown, with Kaelen Culpepper, that it isn’t afraid to promote a talented young player when a need arises.

Jenkins remains one of the best upside stashes for fantasy managers searching for a potential difference-maker.

Michael Arroyo (2B, OF – SEA) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 45

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: September/2027

Since being promoted to Triple-A in early July, Michael Arroyo has appeared in 33 games. During that stretch, he has hit six home runs, stolen two bases (had 13 in Double-A this year) and collected 10 extra-base hits. Additionally, his strikeout rate has remained around 20%, which is encouraging for a young hitter facing advanced pitching.

Arroyo has also been getting reps in the outfield. That added versatility could be important, as Seattle is trying to avoid falling too far behind in the playoff race. If the offense needs a boost, Arroyo could provide another option during the season’s final month.

Arroyo might need an injury to secure consistent playing time. Still, when rosters expand to 28 players, Arroyo could be brought up as an extra bat off the bench. He’s more appealing in deeper formats right now, but his combination of power, speed and positional flexibility makes him an interesting name to monitor.

Ethan Salas (C – SDP) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 30

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: September 2027

Ethan Salas continues to look comfortable against Triple-A pitching. Over his last five games, he has gone 7-for-17 with one home run, two doubles and three walks. Even more impressively, he has struck out only once during that span. For a 20-year-old catcher competing against much older players, that level of offensive production is encouraging.

The biggest obstacle remains Luis Campusano. Although Campusano has gone hitless over his last three games, he has still been serviceable overall this season. Therefore, San Diego doesn’t necessarily have an obvious opening behind the plate.

However, the Padres are trying to secure a playoff spot and may eventually look for more offense. If that happens, Salas could receive consideration. He remains a better long-term stash than an immediate fantasy option, but his recent performance has made a 2026 appearance feel more realistic.

James Tibbs III (OF – LAD) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 89

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: September

James Tibbs III has recorded a hit in five consecutive games while launching four home runs during that span. Additionally, he has drawn two walks while striking out only twice. The power is getting most of the attention, but the limited number of strikeouts is just as encouraging.

The Dodgers may need additional offensive help over the next month, especially with Kyle Tucker struggling. Tibbs would still need an opening to receive consistent at-bats, but his recent surge makes him a legitimate candidate for a September opportunity.

Additional Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Consider

Brendan Beck (SP – NYY) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: Unranked

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: September/August

Since making his most recent Major League appearance, Brendan Beck has recorded 42 strikeouts over 32 Triple-A innings. That strikeout production could help him earn another opportunity with the Yankees before the season ends.

New York could use him as a starter or move him into the bullpen for the stretch run. That makes his fantasy role difficult to predict, but it also creates multiple paths back to the Majors.

For now, Beck is best viewed as a deeper league pitching stash. However, managers seeking late-season innings should continue to monitor him.

Joseph Dzierwa (SP – BAL) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 96

  • Current Level: Double-A
  • ETA: 2027

Joseph Dzierwa hadn’t pitched in a week, but there doesn’t appear to be anything concerning. He returned to the mound on Wednesday night, allowing two hits and one earned run over five innings, while striking out three batters.

At this point, Dzierwa remains more of a 2027 consideration than a realistic option for the final weeks of 2026. Still, his recent combination of strikeouts and control has made him one of the more intriguing pitching prospects to track.

A strong finish to the minor league season could put Dzierwa in position to move quickly next year.

Cam Caminiti (SP – ATL) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 41

  • Current Level: Double-A
  • ETA: 2027

Cam Caminiti delivered his best Double-A performance yet in his latest start. The left-hander threw six scoreless innings while allowing only three hits and two walks. He also struck out seven.

Caminiti has lowered his ERA to 2.51 through his first three Double-A starts. That’s an impressive beginning for one of Atlanta’s best pitching prospects. He looks like an interesting prospect and a potential starter for the Braves in 2027.

Andrew Fischer (3B – MIL) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: Unranked

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: 2027

Andrew Fischer collected only four hits over his last five games, but two of them left the ballpark. He also drew one walk during that stretch.

The power has never been the concern. Instead, Fischer’s high strikeout rate remains the biggest obstacle between him and a future Major League role. Still, his ability to change a game with one swing makes him difficult to dismiss completely.

Hopefully, an offseason of adjustments will help Fischer reduce strikeouts without sacrificing too much power. For now, he remains a high-risk, high-upside stash for dynasty and keeper leagues.
