Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Stash: Week 22

The wait is finally over for Kade Anderson. After dominating the minor leagues throughout the season, the Seattle Mariners called up one of baseball’s top pitching prospects this past week. Anderson had been a fixture near the top of this list, and fantasy managers who remained patient will now get an opportunity to see what he can do in the Majors.

September is only a few days away, and MLB rosters will expand from 26 to 28 players. That does not guarantee a wave of top prospect promotions, but it should create opportunities for several players who are already knocking on the door.

Playing time, 40-man roster spots and minor-league playoff races will all factor into these decisions. Here are some prospects to consider for the next month and the 2027 season.

Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Stash

Charlie Condon (1B, OF – COL) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 75

Current Level: Triple-A
ETA: September

Charlie Condon went 4-for-18 over his past five games with one double, three walks and four strikeouts. The lack of power is disappointing, especially since he has not homered in his past 10 games. However, his plate discipline during that five-game stretch provides at least one encouraging sign.

For the season, Condon has produced 22 home runs with an .892 OPS. His 13.1% walk rate has also helped offset a strikeout rate that remains slightly above 25%. Even though the power has temporarily cooled, his overall offensive profile still looks strong.

The Albuquerque Isotopes are unlikely to reach the playoffs, which could improve Condon’s chances of receiving a September promotion. Colorado could use the final month to evaluate him at first base and in right field. He remains one of the best power stashes available and should already be rostered in most dynasty formats.

Walker Jenkins (OF – MIN) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 11

Current Level: Triple-A

Few prospects are hotter than Walker Jenkins right now. He went 9-for-19 over his past five games with four home runs, three stolen bases and six walks. Even more impressively, he struck out only three times during that stretch.

Jenkins is hitting .320 with a .416 on-base percentage (OBP) and a .549 slugging rate this season. In addition, he has 13 home runs and 16 stolen bases despite playing only 74 games.

The Twins do not have to rush their 21-year-old outfielder. Nevertheless, his bat is making a strong argument for a promotion, and Minnesota is still in the playoff hunt. Jenkins should be rostered everywhere by now.

Michael Arroyo (2B, OF – SEA) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 45

Current Level: Triple-A
ETA: September/2027

Michael Arroyo had a relatively quiet week, going 5-for-26 with one home run, one stolen base, one walk and only two strikeouts. Nothing about that line leaps off the page, but the low strikeout total and defensive versatility are worth noting.

Overall, Arroyo is hitting .281 with 17 home runs and 16 stolen bases this season. He has also played second base, third base and shortstop, giving Seattle several ways to get him into the lineup.

If Arroyo finishes August strong, the Mariners could consider using him as a September utility option. The organization may be hesitant to add another young player during a playoff race, but his contact ability, speed and positional flexibility make him an intriguing stash in deeper leagues.

Ethan Salas (C – SDP) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 30

Current Level: Triple-A
ETA: September 2027

Ethan Salas is getting cold at an unfortunate time. He went just 3-for-19 during his latest stretch, although he drew two walks and struck out only once.

Despite the recent slowdown, Salas is still hitting .290 with a .366 OBP this season. He has added 10 home runs and 15 stolen bases, making him an especially interesting fantasy prospect at a position that rarely provides speed.

Salas’ Triple-A team will not make the playoffs, so San Diego must decide where Salas can receive meaningful at-bats in September. The Padres could keep him working at their complex, but a promotion is becoming increasingly plausible. Even if he does not play every day, Salas could provide value in two-catcher and dynasty leagues.

James Tibbs III (OF – LAD) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 89

Current Level: Triple-A

James Tibbs III went 4-for-19 over his past six games with one home run and one double. More importantly, he drew eight walks while striking out five times. Although the batting average was modest, Tibbs consistently found ways to reach base.

The 23-year-old opened the season with a tremendous power surge before cooling considerably. Recently, however, the power has started to return. His ability to play first base and both corner outfield positions could also help him find a role with the Dodgers.

Tibbs still needs to show more of his early-season power over the next week. If he does, Los Angeles could view him as a left-handed bench bat in September. He is a better stash in OBP formats, but his combination of power and patience should not be overlooked.

Elmer Rodriguez (SP – NYY) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: Unranked

Current Level: Double-A

Elmer Rodriguez struggled in his earlier MLB opportunity. Across 17 innings, he allowed 19 hits and nine earned runs while striking out 10 and walking 11. The inability to find the strike zone ultimately prevented him from settling into the Yankees’ rotation.

However, Rodriguez’s recent Triple-A results have been far more encouraging. He allowed only one earned run over his past 12 innings while recording 12 strikeouts and, most importantly, issuing just one walk.

Rodriguez carries some ratio risk, but fantasy managers in deeper leagues with limited waiver options should consider adding him.

Additional Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Consider

Bo Davidson (OF – SFG) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: Unranked

Current Level: Triple-A
ETA: September/2027

Bo Davidson is hitting .296 with six home runs and five stolen bases through 34 Triple-A games. Before his promotion, he produced 19 home runs and 14 stolen bases at Double-A. Altogether, he has 25 homers and 19 steals this season, demonstrating legitimate 20/20 potential over a full major league schedule.

Additionally, Davidson has been especially productive in August. His recent surge shows that he is adjusting after a slower start with Sacramento.

Unfortunately, there are obstacles to an immediate promotion. Sacramento appears headed to the Triple-A playoffs, and Davidson is not currently on San Francisco’s 40-man roster. A 2026 debut remains possible, but it is more likely that he finishes the season in Triple-A before competing for a role in the Majors next spring. Dynasty managers should still take notice.

Seaver King (SS – WSH) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 71

Current Level: Triple-A
ETA: September

Seaver King may have played his way into the September conversation. Since reaching Triple-A in mid-May, he is hitting .321 with 13 home runs and nine stolen bases. He has also recorded a hit in nine of his past 10 games while launching six home runs during that stretch.

The recent power is especially encouraging. King was already considered a potential contributor in batting average and stolen bases, but the development of more power could significantly raise his fantasy ceiling.

Washington has every reason to evaluate its younger players over the final month. King is one of the more realistic September stashes on this list. His ability to handle multiple infield positions should only help his chances.

Joseph Dzierwa (SP – BAL) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 96

Current Level: Double-A
ETA: 2027

Joseph Dzierwa recorded only three strikeouts over five innings in his latest start, but everything else remained solid. He allowed one earned run and issued only one walk.

For the season, the left-hander has been excellent. Dzierwa owns a 2.00 ERA and a 0.85 WHIP with 135 strikeouts and 28 walks over 117 innings. Those numbers show both swing-and-miss ability and impressive control.

A promotion is not realistic this season, and even a late Triple-A start appears unlikely. Still, Dzierwa is worth monitoring in dynasty leagues. A strong spring training followed by a Triple-A assignment could put him on track for a Baltimore debut sometime between May and July next year.

Cam Caminiti (SP – ATL) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 41

Current Level: Double-A
ETA: 2027

Cam Caminiti completed five innings in his latest start while striking out seven and walking three. The walks were not ideal, but they were not concerning enough to take away from another encouraging performance.

The 20-year-old left-hander now has 113 strikeouts over 102.2 innings this season. His 48 walks show that his command still requires refinement, but he has limited opponents to only 79 hits and six home runs.

Caminiti continues to hold his own in Double-A despite being one of the younger pitchers at the level. We should see him in the Majors at some point next season, although Atlanta will likely allow him to begin 2027 in the upper minors. For now, he is a strong dynasty stash rather than a redraft option.
