    Devy Fantasy Football Player Outlook

Seth Woolcock provides his devy fantasy football outlook for 2026.

Ohio State Buckeyes WR Jeremiah Smith launched himself into the consensus devy 1.01 from the moment he stepped on the field in Columbus, Ohio, leading the Big Ten in receiving yards (1,315) and touchdowns (15) as a true freshman. Standing 6-foot-3 and 223 pounds at just 20-years-old, Smith has ideal NFL size. If he can even come close to having a similar statline to his 2025 season (87 receptions – 1,243 yards and 12 touchdowns) that earned him All-American Honors and the sixth-most Heisman Trophy votes, he should be a top-three pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Most times when a former five-star recruit underwhelms in his first two seasons he wouldn’t be ranked as a top-10 devy asset. Yet, that’s not the case for Texas Longhorns WR Cam Coleman. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder totaled 94 receptions for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns over the last two seasons at Auburn, despite horrific quarterback play. Now in Austin, Texas, with QB Arch Manning at the helm, Coleman has one final shot to pass more than just the eye test.

Nobody passed the eye test in 2025 like Miami Hurricanes WR Malachi Toney. Despite being undersized at 5-foot-11, Toney possesses elite acceleration and twitch that allowed him to allude defenders at a high clip. He took a nation-high 109 receptions for 1,211 yards and 13 total touchdowns (10 receiving, one rushing and two passing) as a true freshman. The ACC Rookie of the Year and First-Team All-ACC player is currently the top-ranked devy asset in the 2028 class who should only continue to ascend throughout his collegiate career.
