Against the Spread: Wild Card Picks
Game: Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs (-8)
Pick: Kansas City Chiefs (-8)
Kansas City has gotten back on track offensively, with an average of 28.6 points over their last five games, while the Titans have averaged 18.4 points during that span. The weather looks like it will be good in Kansas City and I expect Alex Smith to exploit the Titans weak secondary in an easy win.

Game: Atlanta Falcons at Los Angeles Rams (-5)
Pick: Atlanta Falcons (+5)
I don't feel good about this pick, as I like the Rams to win, but think the Falcons keep it close. I give Sean McVay the edge at home, but still think it comes down to a field goal.

Game: Buffalo Bills at Jacksonville Jaguars (-8.5)
Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars (-8.5)
This is not a good matchup for the Bills, especially with LeSean McCoy not at 100 percent. Buffalo's weakness is the run and that is the Jaguars' strength, whereas Jacksonville is slightly worse against the run than pass and that's where McCoy would come in handy. Unless Shady gets some practice in, I don't have much faith that Buffalo can keep this game close.

Game: Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints (-6)
Pick: New Orleans Saints (-6)
The Saints are a more balanced team than the Panthers and Brees is always better in the dome.

Which game pick are you most confident with?
Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs (-8)

Jacksonville Jaguars (DST - JAC)
Thu, Dec 21
Player Note on Jacksonville Jaguars (DST - JAC)
I hate to go against the great Jimmy GQ, but the Jaguars have 10 double-digit D/ST scores through 15 weeks and the 49ers still have trouble scoring without strong red zone receivers.
Kansas City Chiefs (DST - KC)
Thu, Dec 21
Player Note on Kansas City Chiefs (DST - KC)
If we get bad Jay Cutler this weekend, Kansas City has a good shot at a strong D/ST day.
Carolina Panthers (DST - CAR)
Thu, Dec 21
Player Note on Carolina Panthers (DST - CAR)
The Panthers have hit double-digit D/ST games in three of their last four and Jameis Winston does know how to turn the ball over, as he did three times the last time these two teams met.
Pittsburgh Steelers (DST - PIT)
Thu, Dec 21
Player Note on Pittsburgh Steelers (DST - PIT)
The Steelers need to win to keep their No. 2 seed, so they will be going all out against T.J. Yates. That's not good for Yates.
Minnesota Vikings (DST - MIN)
Thu, Dec 21
Player Note on Minnesota Vikings (DST - MIN)
Brett Hundley is back and the Vikings are still quite good defensively.
Chicago Bears (DST - CHI)
Thu, Dec 21
Player Note on Chicago Bears (DST - CHI)
DeShone Kizer is a turnover factory and that likely won't change in Chicago.
Baltimore Ravens (DST - BAL)
Thu, Dec 21
Player Note on Baltimore Ravens (DST - BAL)
The Ravens put up good numbers against DeShone Kizer last week and should be able to do similar damage against Jacoby Brissett this week.
Los Angeles Chargers (DST - LAC)
Thu, Dec 21
Player Note on Los Angeles Chargers (DST - LAC)
Bryce Petty threw two interceptions in his first start and the Chargers D/ST has hit double-digits in three of its last five games.
Los Angeles Rams (DST - LAR)
Thu, Dec 21
Player Note on Los Angeles Rams (DST - LAR)
Marcus Mariota has thrown eight interceptions over the last five games and the Rams defense has been playing well of late.

Player Note on Washington Redskins (DST - WAS)
With Brock Osweiler or Paxton Lynch starting this week, Washington becomes a top D/ST play.
