Eric Thames went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts in the Brewers' 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Pirates on Wednesday.

Thames does have three multi-hit games since the All-Star break but he is also striking out at an alarming rate with 13 strikeouts in 26 plate appearances in his last six games. This is a continuing trend for Thames who has struck out 36.5% of the time since the beginning of June and has just a .204 batting average during that stretch. He will still offer some power but he could start losing more playing time to Jesus Aguliar.
