Gerrit Cole went 6 1/3 innings against the Dodgers on Monday, striking out seven while surrendering five earned runs on eight hits.

Cole was absolutely dealing, not surrendering a run up until the seventh inning until he had the bases loaded with Curtis Granderson at the plate. Unfortunately for Cole, Granderson deposited a fastball into the stands for a huge grand slam. That was the only-albeit major- blemish on Cole's day. He'll look to bounce back against the Reds in an easier matchup on Saturday.
