Daniel Murphy not looking good for Opening Day

Daniel Murphy (1B - FA)

According to Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports, there is "virtually" no chance that Washington Nationals second baseman Daniel Murphy (knee) will be healthy in time for Opening Day. (MASN Sports)

Fantasy Impact
This is the way things have been leaning for a while now, though Washington has yet to announce this is true. Murphy was fantastic in 2017, hitting .322 with a .928 OPS and 23 home runs. Until we get an official timetable fantasy players should expect to be without Murphy for at least a few weeks in April. Howie Kendrick will fill in at second base.
