Pedroia will then start on either Friday or Saturday. The 34-year-old was just 1-for-14 in his rehab assignment at Triple-A, but the expectation is he’ll take over the everyday job at second base. Eduardo Nunez will then move to a utility role. Fantasy owners should feel confident activating Pedroia into their lineups as soon as tomorrow.
