The 29-year-old first baseman continued his impressive June with his 11th home run of the year and sixth this month. Martinez has really found his power stroke going into the middle of the season but his batting average continues to rise as he is hitting .318 in 66 plate appearances this month. Most what he is doing seems to be pretty legitimate so there is no reason to expect him to slow down. The time to buy low on Martinez has likely already passed.
