Corey Knebel tried to preserve a 5-3 lead on Sunday but gave up two runs on three hits and two walks with the big blow coming off the bat of David Freese with a two-out triple. The Brewers ended up losing in 10 innings 7-6.

The loss completed a five-game sweep by the Pirates. Knebel saw his ERA rise to 3.91 on the year as he enters the All-Star break with 11 saves in 14 opportunities. He should continue to get plenty of save chances over the second half of the season as the Brewers battle for a playoff spot.
