Victor Martinez went 3-for-3 with one walk and one RBI in Friday’s 5-4 loss to the Minnesota Twins.

Martinez was pretty much perfect at the plate last night reaching three times. He finds himself hitting .251/.303/.342 through the month of August. It’s hard to trust any of the Tigers this deep into the season, but if Martinez can continue performing like he did last night he’s worth adding if owners are in a pinch.
