Fantasy Impact
Volquez spent part of 2017 with the Miami Marlins before missing the second half of that season and all of the 2018 season due to Tommy John surgery. He signed a minor league deal with the Rangers in the winter of 2018 while he worked his way back from the surgery, and he now has a major league contract for the 2019 season. The 35-year old pitched to a 5.38 ERA in 34 starts for Kansas City Royals in his last full season in 2016.
