Texas Rangers infielder Jurickson Profar has been traded to the Oakland Athletics in a three-way deal that includes the Tampa Bay Rays, according to a report from Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports. The A’s will send prospect Eli White to the Rangers and the 38th overall pick in the 2019 draft, plus reliever Emilio Pagan, to Tampa Bay. (Jeff Passan on Twitter)

The addition of Profar might mean that Jed Lowrie, who had a career year in 2018 and is currently a free agent, will not return to the Athletics. Profar can play all four infield spots and batted .254 with 20 home runs and 10 stolen bases in 2018.
