Jim Bowden of The Athletic had reported earlier in the day that Kimbrel would consider sitting all of 2019 if his contract demands weren't met. It's unlikely he would get the money he wants a year from now when he's another year older and a full 18 months removed from playing Major League Baseball games. We expect Kimbrel to pitch this year. He's been connected to the Twins and Phillies most recently.
