Hicks has been experiencing some lower back discomfort for over a week now. He says he is "not really" worried about being ready for Opening Day but didn't want to risk this issue lingering. As the Yankees' projected leadoff hitter Hicks has plenty of fantasy value heading into 2019 but he also carries with him a checkered injury history.
