Fantasy Impact
Apparently, Knebel has been pitching with this injury for the last four years, only now the ailment has worsened to the point where surgical intervention may be necessary. Many pitchers have continued pitching with a partially torn UCL, such as Masahiro Tanaka of the Yankees, but it's a dangerous game and surgery may be the safer route for full recovery down the line. Knebel's status is cloudy, to say the least, because he could either miss a month or two rehabbing the injury, or undergo Tommy John surgery and miss the whole season. Probably best to avoid him entirely in drafts right now.
