Taking a page from sabermetrics, Cash will get full use of Alvarado, but it will likely prevent him from being a consistent save candidate. Fantasy owners will hang their heads a little knowing that Alvarado will be used in crucial situations, rather than being used exclusively for save opportunities. There are still points up for grabs for Tampa Bay's relief pitcher, so it does not completely eliminate his use in deep leagues. Further, Alvarado is a great fantasy pickup for leagues that credit relievers with holds. While this is the role for Alvarado, it does not mean that this will list the whole year.
