Fantasy Impact
Jansen is one of the top closers in fantasy. In 2014, he posted a 2.76 ERA, saved 44 games, and struck out 101 batters in 65 innings pitched. It will be curious how the Dodgers approach Jansen long-term as David Robertson recently signed a four-year $46 million deal with the Chicago White Sox. While we do not advocate drafting closers early, Jansen should approach the 40 save mark again and continue to strike out over a batter an inning. The upgraded Dodgers defense should help as well.
