Braves starter Kevin Gausman allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out over over 2 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday.

Gausman was chased in the third inning and then watched Sean Newcomb, who had been sent to the bullpen but has been pitching better of late, toss 4 2/3 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win. Given Gausman’s recent struggles, it would not be surprising to see him lose his spot in the rotation to Newcomb or the recently-acquired Dallas Keuchel soon. His next start is scheduled to come against the Phillies, but it is possible that Newcomb or someone else takes his place.
