Darvish was masterful Friday, and only lost out on the win when the Cubs' bullpen blew the 3-0 lead in the eighth. He starts the second half on a positive note after backing into the All-Star break having allowed 13 earned runs in his final three starts of the first half. He lowered his ERA to 4.72 and has 119 strikeouts in 103 innings.
