Cashner has pitched to a 3.83 ERA this season, despite poor peripherals and historically inferior statistics. He's relied on soft contact, as his 16.5 percent strikeout rate this season is his best mark since 2015. He'll have his work cut out for him at Fenway Park, a similarly hitter-friendly environment. He'll serve as the Red Sox fifth starter in the short-term, and remains a shaky fantasy option.
