James' daughter was born last Thursday. He told reporters he has been doing plenty of throwing and is currently stretched out to about 75-80 pitches. The 27-year-old would be a wildly interesting fantasy option if he wins Houston's final rotation spot. James struck out 100 batters in 61 1/3 innings out of the bullpen in 2019.
