Howard might not have lasted much longer anyways. The rookie right-hander was struggling tonight, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits over 3 1/3 innings pitched. He now has a 7.88 ERA through two starts. The Phillies will likely update his status by Saturday afternoon.
