Brandon Cunniff to be promoted from Triple-A to Braves bullpen

Braves GM John Hart said tonight that Brandon Cunniff will be promoted from Triple-A to the Braves bullpen to fill the vacancy created in the mega-deal with San Diego, which sent closer Craig Kimbrel over to the Padres. Cunniff will serve in middle relief. In 33 games at the Double-A level last year he had a K/9 of 8.54 over 53 innings. During that time he carried a 2.05 ERA along with a WHIP of 1.12.
