Since his time with the Cubs, Jake Arrieta experienced a downward trend in production. In his last season with the Cubs (2017), Arrieta finished with a 3.53 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, a 23.1% K%, and 7.8% BB% in 168.1 innings. Since then his ERA spiked to 3.96 in 2018, 4.64 in 2019, and 5.08 in 2020. Unless he adjusts his pitch mix to lower the sinker usage, it's hard to rely on him as anything more than a deep league streamer.
