Brett Gardner agrees to one-year deal with the Yankees

Brett Gardner (LF,CF - FA)

Brett Gardner agreed to a one-year deal with the New York Yankees, per Jon Heyman of MLB Network. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact
Heyman added that the deal includes $4 million guaranteed with a 2nd year option that could net Gardner "close to" $11 million if the Yankees pick it up. There was a lot of smoke on a potential reunion between the 37-year-old outfielder and the Yankees prior to this agreement and this now solidifies it. The veteran will now likely finish his career with the same team in which it began. He will provide clubhouse leadership and platoon behind Aaron Judge, Aaron Hicks, Clint Frazier in the outfield.
