Montgomery was recently released by the New York Mets after struggling this spring. The left-hander has a lifetime 3.84 ERA with the Mariners, Cubs and Royals. It is unclear how much interest there is with Toronto, but they are at least somewhat interested. Montgomery has experience as both a starter and reliever out of the bullpen.
